We are delighted to thank Mick Gold (OL 1965) for sharing a wonderful photograph of his Class 1A in 1960, taken in the Red House. Mick kindly brought this special image along to the 112th Annual Dinner, adding a memorable contribution to our Capture 150 Moment campaign.

Since leaving John Lyon in 1965, Mick has gone on to an outstanding international career as a documentary filmmaker, photographer, and journalist. His acclaimed work for BBC2 includes major historical series such as Watergate (1994), which won a Primetime Emmy Award, and Death of Apartheid (1995), as well as award-winning documentaries spanning politics, art, and cultural history.
A remarkable reminder of the journeys our Old Lyonians go on to take, and the lasting connections that remain.
