Alex Tranter helps pupils with Drama School advice

Actor Alex Tranter returns to School to help drama pupils with application and career advice.

Alex left John Lyon in 2011 and went to train in Musical Theatre at Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts graduating in 2014. He returned to School last week to enjoy a School lunch with Sixth Form pupils where he shared his experiences on pursuing his dreams to perform, the challenges and enjoyment of theatre.

Alex is currently in the Original Cast of “& Juliet” in London’s West End, performing in the Ensemble and understudying the lead roles of Romeo and Shakespeare. Alex has performed on BBC’s “Strictly Come Dancing”, ITV’s “This Morning” and Magic FM’s “Magic At The Musicals”.

He as worked alongside Star Wars and Harry Potter actor Warwick Davis in the world premier of “Eugenius”. Alex has performed all over the UK, with “White Christmas” at the Curve Leicester and touring the country with the legendary Tommy Steele in “The Glenn Miller Story” as highlights.

Other credits include “Oklahoma!” at the Grange Park Opera, “Our House” UK Tour, “Copacabana” UK Tour, “The Best Of The West End” at the Royal Albert Hall and many more.

It was wonderful to be able to have Alex back to share that first hand career journey with existing pupils. If you are willing to do the same please get in touch!
