The School welcomed many former students and colleagues to a lunch followed by a Memorial Service held at St Mary's Church. The congregation were welcomed by the Revd James Power, Vicar of St Mary's. Liam Halligan (OL) read the first reading, and OLs Gary Gibbon and Michael Foster were joined by former Master Francis Tavernor in Honouring & Remembering Mr Podmore. Kevin Thomas (OL) gave the second reading and the School Motet choir performed "Glory to God" in addition to supporting the congregation with the hymns "O God, Our Help in Age Past" and "Jerusalem"
On return to the School, Director of Alumni Relations, Mr Ian Parker led an Act of Remembrance with the unveiling of a bench in the Red House Memorial Garden. The guests then enjoyed tea in the New Memorial Hall.
