Mr Ramesh Patani, the father of Neill Patani (OL 1997) and Rickie Patani (OL 1998), very generously made a donation in memory of his late brother, Dinesh Patani, a qualified pharmacist who sadly died too young of a heart attack. Mr Patani's goal was to do something to remember his brother by whilst also having a long lasting impact on current and future pupils of John Lyon School.

The Patani family chose to make this lasting memory by donating to the School. What a wonderful way to end the School year with something so positive and uplifting! Thank you so much to the Patani family for your generous support in enabling the formal opening of the Patani Laboratory on the 6th July 2021. The donation will also enable the School to purchase equipment across Biology, Physics and Chemistry for the benefit of the pupils and host an annual Patani lecture series.  We very much hope that both Neill and Rickie will come back to give lectures about their work at the forefront of medical science!
