John Davies, OL Golf Society Secretary, sent over a short play by play for us:

"The annual golf match against The School took place on Thursday 18th April at Sandy Lodge Golf Club in sunny but windy conditions.

The standard of golf at John Lyon is improving year on year, so we knew we would have our work cut out. Leading from the front the pairing of Paul Harris and Paul Martin secured our first point ( Paul Martin shot 6 over gross), and despite losing the last match on the last green it was a very close encounter involving yours truly paired with Simon Flamank. It was a very close game throughout, but the overall result was left us with an OL win by 2.5 points to 1.5 points."
