On Thursday we played Weymouth GC in bright sunshine but strong winds and with heavy rough just off the fairway several balls went missing but despite the tricky conditions John Kerley won with 37 points with Roger Baker and Paul Bunyon second and third respectively.
Unfortunately Friday was a different kettle of fish for the match at Lyme Regis and whilst we started in the rain after only three holes the fog rolled in and for the second year running the match was cancelled so we adjourned to the pub to watch the footy.
On the way back on Saturday we played at Tidworth Garrison which was a cracking course and for the most part the rain held off. Roger Vessey won with John Davies and Graham Burwood second and third.
