We would like to invite any of you who enjoy singing to join the Lyonian Chorus, our dedicated parents’ choir. It is an enjoyable experience which stimulates, relaxes and importantly is fun. The choir will sing alongside our Motet Choir for John Lyon’s Christmas Concert on Monday 5th December and our Vocal Concert in the Spring term.
If you would like to take part, please see below the rehearsal and performance dates for Autumn. The repertoire is made up of three choir pieces and five traditional congregation carols. All have been selected to suit any ability.
We understand parents have a busy work/life balance, thus the commitment is only 4 one-hour practices during the week and one on a weekend.
Dates:
If you are unable to attend a particular rehearsal date, please note that should be fine provided most rehearsals are attended.
Regardless of singing ability, we will welcome anyone, the only prerequisite is that you enjoy singing or are keen to give it a go!
Simply turn up next week at the Music Hall if you are interested, no need to register in advance.
Yours sincerely,
Mr A Furniss
Head of Music (Senior School)
