'With much nervous expectation, the four of us started our new school in September 1954. Little did we know that we would still be the greatest of friends nearly 69 years later. Now all over 80 years of age and still married to the same partners after over 50 years, we frequently meet up and discuss the old times. Unfortunately a few of our close friends are no longer with us, but they are always fondly remembered. We send best wishes to all John Lyon students and trust that they too, will make lifelong friendships.'
