Adam has climbed: Sgòr an Lochain Uaine, The Angel's Peak, Cairn Toul, Braeriach via Chalamain Gap, Ben Nevis, Helvellyn, Skiddaw, Ben Macdui, Cairn Gorm and Scafell Pike. Adam endured severe weather conditions putting himself through physically challenging however Adam pushed forward to complete his mission.
Adam has successfully raised over £6,740 for the British Heart Foundation and honour the memory of his late brother, Fred, who tragically passed away from a heart attack in 2023. His mission is also to educate young people of heart conditions and throughout his climbs, he has created a video diary of his journey and how the mountains helped him adapt and evolve as an individual.
Adam has been beyond grateful to John Lyon School and the Lyonian Association’s support throughout his journey, saying:
“Knowing I had the encouragement of the wider Lyonian community and the School behind me made the experience even more rewarding, showing how much the School values its alumni and their personal endeavours. Giving back to the John Lyon community has been a priority for me, and I’m grateful for every opportunity I’ve had to do so.”
The Lyonian Association, the School and the wider community are glad to have been a part of this amazing story and could not be prouder of Adam. Climbing one mountain is an incredible achievement, but climbing 10 in less than a year is on a whole new level - well done Adam!
If you're able to, Adam would be beyond grateful for any donations to the Just Giving Page he has set up here.
