Huge congratulations to Old Lyonian Jinesh Vohra (OL 2002) who enjoyed a shining moment on BBC’s Dragons’ Den last night, Thursday 5th February at 8pm.

Jinesh entered the Den seeking investment for Sprive, a smart technology app he designed based on his experience in financial services, including his time at Goldman Sachs, as well as his own experience as a homeowner. Designed to help homeowners become mortgage-free faster, the app and Jinesh’s proposal impressed the Dragons. His time in the Den ended successfully with an “I’m in” from three of the five Dragons.

Before becoming an entrepreneur, Jinesh spent 14 years at Goldman Sachs, where he managed global teams within Operations. His work focused on strategy and designing technology-driven solutions to automate manual processes, experience that laid the foundation for the innovation behind Sprive.

Jinesh’s journey began at John Lyon, where he studied before going on to complete a BSc (Hons) in Economics at the University of Warwick. In 2002, he returned to John Lyon alongside his cohort for their 20-year reunion and has also supported the school’s careers programme, giving back by sharing his experience and insights with current students.

This is a fantastic achievement, and we wish Jinesh every success with Sprive and his future business endeavours as he embarks on this exciting new chapter.
