It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Peter Tatham on 1st July 2024, aged 90. Peter’s brother, Jeremy Tatham, OL 1961-1968 shared the news and said, ‘Peter was quite a sportsman and highly regarded by Bill Warman, as a football midfielder. Peter told me of a schoolboy match he played in at White Hart Lane. He also played cricket for the school.
After trying accountancy, which he hated, Peter got into Reading University to read Agricultural Botany, becoming a research biologist in Nigeria, Benin and Sierra Leone and later Trinidad before becoming an agricultural advisor for the then Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries living in Lincolnshire for many years. His wife Jean predeceased him by a year. They have a son, a daughter and two granddaughters. Peter always loved golf and played into his 80’s’.
Our deepest sympathy to Peter's family and friends.
