Timothy West was a student at John Lyon from 1946 to 1952, later following his passion in theatre and creating a successful career in TV and film, becoming a household name. Timothy West: Acclaimed stage and screen actor dies aged 90 - BBC News
In 2018, Timothy returned to John Lyon to speak to students about his life and career. Discussing the lack of drama facilities when he attended, compared to now and the honour of having our Drama studios named after him.
