The halls of nostalgia echoed with laughter and shared memories as OLs from the Class of 1983 gathered at the refectory at John Lyon School. The event, held on November the 3rd, 2023, was a resounding success, thanks to the enthusiastic participation of our cherished alumni.
The atmosphere was charged with excitement and camaraderie as old friends reconnected and the venue buzzed with animated conversations, laughter, and the unmistakable joy of rediscovering long-lost connections. The highlight of the night was the photo gallery that sparked conversation and a walk down memory lane and a 'guess who' quiz to name as many pupils in the School group photo from 1983.
Guests were treated to a sumptuous feast, creating the perfect backdrop for conversations that flowed freely. The event was not just a reunion; it was a celebration of shared experiences, triumphs, and the indelible mark that John Lyon has left on each attendee's life.
Thank you to Keith Palmer who orchestrated the gathering and to all who contributed to the success of the 40-years-on reunion.
We must mention a thank you to Colin Groothius who had travelled from New Jersey, US to attend this event.
