Paul Doctors, OL 1994 has reached out in regard to his oldest friend, Daniel Wayne, whom he met at John Lyon School in 1989.

Daniel sadly passed away in May 2021 from a heart attack aged 43, leaving behind a wife and two children and many, many friends. He proved his doubters wrong and achieved a first class degree in 1999, following which Paul and Daniel went back to the School for a memorable day of meeting their old teachers and sharing the great news of Daniel’s achievement.

A small group of Daniel’s closest friends are undertaking a bike ride this Saturday 21 September to raise funds for British Heart Foundation in his honour, and they would be so grateful for any support from Old Lyonians and especially from their cohort of 1996.
